Project Manai

A two-level apartment opened up around a sculptural stair that carries light from the roof down to the entry. We treated the stair as the one piece of drama in an otherwise calm home, and let every other surface recede behind it. Storage is hidden in full-height joinery so the living spaces stay uncluttered, holding only what the family reaches for daily.
